Par Amour by Élise Otzenberger to premiere at Sitges 2024
Par Amour, a family's sci-fi odyssey by the sea, has been selected for the prestigious Sitges Film Festival 2024.
The film follows Sarah, a 40-year-old woman on the brink of burnout. Juggling her life as a mother to two young children and a wife to an often-absent husband, Sarah’s world is turned upside down when her older son, Simon, mysteriously disappears at the beach. When Sarah finds him, he’s drenched and feverish, but something is profoundly wrong. Simon, once a typical child, now exhibits strange behaviors, spending hours in the bath and seeking water at every turn.
The 57th edition of Sitges, known for its spotlight on the best in genre film, promises a stellar lineup of sci-fi, horror, and fantasy films. With titles from acclaimed filmmakers such as Steven Soderbergh and Coralie Fargeat, the festival’s 2024 edition is a must for any genre fan.
